Liam Gallagher's ex-Oasis bandmate backs singer over Brits

Bonehead says 'good on him' for throwing award

Liam Gallagher's ex-Oasis bandmate Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs has backed the singer over his controversial antics at the Brit Awards on Tuesday (February 16).

Bonehead played guitar on Oasis' 1995 album 'What's The Story (Morning Glory)', with Gallagher picking up the Brits Album of 30 Years honour for it at the ceremony.

The singer mentioned all his bandmates from the time except his brother Noel Gallagher in his acceptance speech, threw the award and his mic into the crowd and later feuded with host Peter Kay.

"I knew we'd won the award and I knew Liam was going along," Bonehead told the Manchester Evening News. "I didn't know I'd be getting a mention. I'm pleased though – I was involved in that album after all. I think good on him for chucking the award into the audience – it sums the Brits up really. I mean Lady GaGa winning? Please!"

Kay called Gallagher a "knobhead" after his antics, prompting a war of words between the pair.

Liam just keeps on painting himself as the villain here. He is just pathetic and petulant for not mentioning Noel...after all, he wrote all the songs! I can only see Noel coming out of this break up in a better light than his loudmouth brother. Noel will do his talking in the songs and undoubtedly come out with a great album while Liam bowls it around thinking he's the king, but a singer without songs is nothing.

It was just Liam being Liam I don't think he will ever change even though he just always makes a fool of himself.Bonhead is right about Ga Ga though - absolute rubbish!

"Bonehead": says it all really! Whether you like pop or not, only an idiot would deny that she deserves any award that merits pop music. She has more talent in just her crotch then all the members of the old Oasis (except Noel) put together!

Bonehead...don't expect a phone call to tour, you're not coming back! Liam...such a disrespectful jerk. Noel is Oasis and will prove to everyone once and for all that without him, there is no Oasis. Does anyone remember the song "Little James?" Goodbye Liam, better give big brother a call soon.

The Rolling Stones and the Who use to trash the stage and throw stuff into the audience all the time back when rock‘N’roll was in it’s heydays and no one complains aggents anyone, Plus Liam use to throws the Tambourine into the audience at almost ever gig.Oasis will be missed by everyone (fans or not), I think it’s going to be go now oasis have broken up, because for the first year or so the brothers are properly going to be the same as between John and Paul, where both the great artist wrote songs that where digs at each otherI think that Liam is keeping rock‘N’roll alive, there are not mean bands out there that are. However, I do feel sorry for the person the Brit Award and the Microphone hit, if it hit anyone.

All i read about is the same shit,Idiots shouting about noel being Oasis and Liams shit etc,Especially this prick gauchoo1 and his little james comments,Get back to me when you can write something actually as good,It was his first attempt and along time ago,Hes wrote some great songs since then,Oh another thing. He was right to throw that shit away,He is And was a great frontman.Theres nobody around except Ian Brown who even come close to him.I cant wait to see his new band and as for all the idiots who mock him now,Get ready to appologise,But i expect you will all shut up and buy his records,You sell outs.I stand by Liam all the way,I also like noel but if i want to buy an album of crooning Dean martins the man for me.Noels the new Val doonican,he even has the jumpers already.

Lethalsiddle: Get real you complete idiot, you really think Lady Gaga has more talent than all the old members of old Oasis except Noel? Start listening some "old" Oasis first then you'll understand why what you wrote is so pathetic. "Lady" Gaga is one of the most talentless pieces of crap ive ever seen.

Apart from Tom from Kasabian falling over, Liam was the only interesting thing to happen at the Brits. Music needs artists with attitude like Liam

All this arguing about Noel being the talented one makes me laugh. Oasis have not written a decent song since 1995, I would suggest they are both rather talentless?

Cant wait to see what pile of crap he brings out to watch it crash and Peter Kay got it right, why go through all the effort to turn up for an award to throw it away, One day he will grow up.
