Nude Madonna and Guy Ritchie painting finally sold
Buyer found for Peter Howson's work
A painting featuring nude depictions of Madonna and her ex-husband Guy Ritchie has been sold after previously failing to sell at auction.
The artwork, painted in 2005 by artist Peter Howson, didn't meet its £15,000 reserve when it was put up for auction at McTear's Auctioneers in Glasgow earlier this month.
The painting has since been sold at an undisclosed price to an undisclosed buyer, reports BBC News.
Brian Clements of McTear's said he was "delighted to have secured such an excellent price for the painting".
"Although we cannot divulge the name of the buyer," he added, "we can confirm that the painting will be leaving Scotland."
