Green Day launch their own version of 'Rock Band'
Billie Joe Armstrong and co follow in the footsteps of The Beatles
The game, which is set to be released in 2010, allows fans to play tracks spanning the band's 22-year history and also features a number of venues that feature prominently in their history. It will be available on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
Singer Billie Joe Armstrong said the game will give fans the chance to feel like they are actually in Green Day, reports BBC Newsbeat.
"We want people to fire this up, choose their favourite Green Day tracks, and play along with us as Rock Band avatars so they can feel what it's like to perform on stage as Green Day," he explained.
The Beatles: Rock Band was released in September. Fans can play the game using instruments similar in look to those used by the Fab Four in their heyday.
