David Cameron tackles Beatles on karaoke at Blur man's birthday party
Conservative Party leader tackles Fab Four classic at Alex James' bash
Cameron was invited to James' party before both gave talks at Woodstock Literary Festival in Blenheim Palace last September. Speaking of his choice of song, the MP told the Daily Mail that he wanted to sing something he couldn't get wrong.
"I find it's better to sing something old, something familiar and something fairly easy to sing. Even I couldn't muck up a song like that," he explained.
Cameron added his relief that no video footage of the 'performance' has emerged, saying: "My previous line on karaoke was that it was perfectly acceptable if I was abroad, but at least I don't think there were any cameras in the room. I hope!"
